Just doing my thing with a canister, moving soon may use that as an excuse to set up a temp tank and go to a sump but honestly really enjoying my tank even on a canister filter originally started in a ten gallon just about two full years in March I believe

I ran a couple of great little tanks on canister filters. Some guys knock them but I think they work just fine. I find sumps to be a bit easier to maintain but a canister still does the job more effectively than an HOB.

I don’t care what anyone says. Any tank what ever size functions just fine on canisters. Never had a sump always canisters on my tanks. Not to say I’d never get a set up with a sump. I never had any issues growing any corals or fish either! Utilize what you have and enjoy my friend!

As I think I stated I would love to go to a sump eventually but right now I'm definitely satisfied with the growth I have, here's one from just now lights are just coming on within the hour
