I am not exactly new to the hobby, but took a break for about 10 years. Recently setup a nano tank ~2 months ago as I always wanted to get back into it and my wife finally caved in. Recently adding in a turbo snail and x4 nassarius snail, I noticed this little fella last night (which was about a week after we added in the five snails).

What is this? It is moving around the tank.

**EDIT**
To add a few things, since I didn't realize I actually posted this..

- That is unfortunately as white light as I could have gotten.
- It is moving around like a snail, and has what looks like two tentacles.

I agree, I am thinking it is a nudibranch. It has been a while since I have done this so I completely forgot about those.

It looks like it could be a baby black nudibranch. I am unsure how it would have gotten in outside of the snails. First time I saw it was last night while doing maintenance, and I stare at the tank for a bit sometimes as I find it pretty relaxing.

The GSP I have was dipped twice, once coral RX and the other time revive. A nudibranch wouldn't survive 15 minutes of each.. right?

I am thinking black nudibranch. I guess reef safe down the line?

Anyhow, thanks all for the quick response! I appreciate it.

Did you use livesand/rock?
One thing I was wondering about as I was adding my CUC is if Ich tomonts could get into my tank in the CUC poop… maybe nudibranch eggs can?
I used live sand. It could have came from there maybe? Alternatively I am thinking it came in on my turbo snail, as I do recall seeing something black on it (thinking it was the shell itself). Honestly, I wasn't expecting hitchhikers on a snail shell :)

Definitely a nudibranch. Try to get a daylight pic for color and details.

From what I can tell with a flashlight and the AI Prime 16HD lights "fully on", it looks like it is black with a white dots. Maybe a black nudi?

Creating a strong bulwark: Did you consider floor support for your reef tank?
