Hard to see but they look like bristle worms, good cuc. Numers will fluctuate. Over feeding will cause their numbers to explode. Some people use traps to keep their numbers down and/or cut back on feeding.

Woe, an outbreak of bristleworms and indication you may be overfeeding sustaining their numbers. Many keep them for Cleaner crew as they eat uneaten food and detritus but this many is a population issue. You can utilize an arrow crab or two (as below) to eat them and reduce number but will take time to reduce the count

I started feeding every other day. Maybe that will help.

Bristle worms I have tons I was told not harmful by members here. A reefer that is a part owner of an lfs said he doesn't like them. All I know is they eat the algae off my rock also in the sand eating does not bother me. Came from somewhere after 2 years a real mystery
 

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
