Live food culture screens

Someone posted about these in a thread about filtration, but I wonder if they'd be good for straining live food cultures? Seems like a relatively cheap alternative even though the mesh sizes are limited:

I use a simmilar product and love it. I do my live foods in 5 gallon buckets so when doing a water change it helps me out a ton with filtering the junk from the pods. It is also helpful for size sorting pods for feeding due to them being stackable.
