I’m setting up a 90 gallon and I am buying a established set up that is full of mature live rock and seeded sand.

So my question is can I fill the 90 with new rodi water and mixed with the same salt and put the sand and rock in there with a heater and powerhead until I finish the plumbing for the sump?

I want to make sure I don’t do anything to kill the rock or sand as the rock is purple from coraline.

Also should I put the new deaf sand on the bottom or on top of the seeded sand?

How long are you planning on keeping the rock in the tank. With heat and circulation it will stay live. Little light will help keep the purple coraline.
Id use all new sand if any and only a cpl scoops of the old to seed.
Shake all the rock off real good before transfering it ti the new sw.
