Live tank camera solution

Howdy. Really wanted to be able to see my tank from anywhere when I’m not home. Mainly to make sure something catastrophic hasn’t happened with an equipment malfunction.

I found the Wyze camera was good enough and inexpensive but could barely make out an image with the blue LEDs. Solution. Zip tied an orange lens from ice cap to the camera and it‘s much better =) Some before and after pics below.

I am not going to do it yet, but before I have to leave town on vacation I am going to add a small one pointed to the side of the tank. Just for that piece of mind that I can see water flowing and nothing belly up.

I’m always out of town for work and the peace of mind of being able to see a real-time image is priceless. Highly recommend
