Liveaquaria rigid 30day return policy

Bought a pump for water changes from liveaquaria on August 16, went to use it today and it's not working. Just a day or two outside the 30days and they won't help other than give me marinelands phone number. I tried calling ML and got a message that I reached them during non-business hours but they should be open. Called liveaquaria back and they refuse to help me. Lesson learned, always buy stuff from Amazon when possible.
