Lobophyllia Par/placement

I recently got a lobophyllia that I have placed on the rocks. My sandbed is reading 90 to 110 par is that a safe range for them? Ive seen some post suggesting 150 and up. I was also wondering how do I keep them from getting trampled on by snails if I do make the move. Right now on the rocks its getting about 140 par but id like it on the sand. Also should I let it settle before I move it? I just got it two days ago. Thanks

I would have no problem moving it down to the sand, personally.

It’s not really a light loving coral anyways, so move it down, make sure it is getting some indirect flow, you should be fine.

In my experience with having a lobo for 3 years or so, anything that it touches or that touches it will get stung very badly. Make sure you put it in a location (on the sand bed) where nothing can fall onto it. Lost count of how many times a snail dislodged a coral from the rock work that tumbled onto the Lobo, only to be melted by the time I find it.

Thank you I did go ahead and moved it. I
chiseled a big rock out so its mounted in the sand on like a 5 inch piece of rock I'll make sure nothing can fall on top off it I appreciate the tips! I left the skeleton like a half inch above the sand not sure if that matters.
