Setting up a Reefer 525 XL. Looking for recommendations on whether I should get a 1/2" or 3/4" loc line set up for the return nozzle. I already know where to get all the required parts, just not sure what size I should get for that size tank.

3/4" is what I was leaning towards, just wanted some reassurance from someone who had a similar size tank. Thanks!

I have a 225 and I use 3/4 also. I have 2 return pumps rated at 1270 Gal per hour each. Each one has a 3/4 lokline with a splitter so I have 1 round and 1 flat on each side works great

For my 625XXL I bought the dual random flow generator from Vivid creative aquatics. I believe it’s a 3/4” line

I actually like them. I wasn’t too enthusiastic about them at first and I ran across a couple of YouTube videos showing them so I tried it out and can’t be happier! Only issue so far which they have taken care of is that on mine apparently the piece that ties into the Red Sea piece was a little too big and was falling off into the tank about every other day. I have a replacement part on the way that they sent me and apologized for the issue. For now until it gets here I got some Teflon tape and folded it up and jambed it in there. The random flow though is amazing!

I’m not sure what size tank that equals gallon wise but I know in my 55 I’m running 2 - 1/2” locline arms and it’s border line to small so if your bigger than 55 gallons I’d go with 3/4”
