So i got these 3 zoas nightmare, sunny d and purple monster long time ago. They were all short stem when i first got them and i place them on the upper part of my layout so they got a lot of light. Then later on i moved them down to the bottom and they stretch out their stem for light and their look annoy me. Will increasing the light tensity make them short again or can i put them in some sort of black box for few days and them get them out to address this?

I have had zoas do that for a few weeks and then stop doing it all on their own. You could just wait to see what happens, or you could take @Tahoe61's advice if you want to do something immediately.

I have them at the bottom for more than 2 months now so i guess i might give them more light

IMO they are reaching for more light
