Hi everyone. I can find very little on longfin snappers and I love the look of them. My tank is a 180 and I do know that they can get gigantic and grow fast. I am getting a 800 gallon or around that very soon. I was wondering what experience have people had with these fish

IMO you should wait until you actually have the 800 set up to purchase one. They grow very fast and you will soon find yourself overwhelmed, even with a 180. No reason to subject a fish to improper conditions when you can wait until the proper tank is set up.

Yeah ok that’s fine I still would like to know stuff about them because they are super cool and a real showpiece fish by the looks of it
