Longnosed Hawkfish Awesome Personality!

They were tiny nassarious. less than 3/8 for sure. The fish tried to mess with the larger snails and was left wanting. The small hermits were too quick for him. I also agree with Master B . Still a very cool fish.

I would gladly offer up some baby snails to the Fish Gods for a awesome personality Fish in my tank. Mine acts like a puppy right now. I walk in and he flies to the corner where I feed and just begs for food and attention.

How do the long nose and regular nose hawkfish differ? Like do the long nose eat smaller prey in holes etc? Part of me didn't get the long nose because I was worried about them having a more constrained diet like a long nose butterfly, but that's just ignorance I suppose?

They only differ in size and shape. Eat the same diet just come from different parts of the ocean. The longnosed hawkfish can open its mouth further than you think but does make it easier to prey on smaller crabs and shrimp when they are hiding.

My pixy hawkfish isn't too happy about being in quarantine, little but pvc pipes in the 40 breeder. I can't wait to get him in the display tank to see his antics and make him feel more at ease.

My Chevron hated it too but now he's happy! That's lazy spots on the glass not the fish hahaha!
