Looking at Jeboa external return pumps

I have to start off by saying I have not had good luck with Jeboa pumps. Especially the powerheads. None have lasted more than a year or so for me.
When the Jeboa return pumps first came on the market, a few of my friends local to me tried them out and most all of them had to buy new ones in a few months.
The rational was they were cheap, buy 2. That never really appealed to me.
But I'm still seeing a lot of long term support for some.
So I am thinking about trying the brand.
So what I'm looking for specifically is for a external application, has to be able to pump at least 4000 gph and the most important, has to be silent.
I have Red Dragon pumps and Vectras, so I know what return pumps can be.
What's the newest model? Do they last? Can they do at least 4000 gallons per hour?

I've had better luck with the ones that have bolts that clamp the shell to the pump head seem to work alot better. First ones that come to mind are the DCS models (here)

I found a DCT 12000 on amazon that looks like the head bolts on, and is threaded.

Do you have a specific link to the one you were talking about that doesn't leak when run externally?

What size is your return plumbing? More often than not, it’s plumbing more than pump restricting flow!

This is for a closed loop
1-1/2" suction.
1-1/2" header. 4-3/4" bulkheads

Yup, you should be good for around 3,500-4,000 GPH there!

I did have a 150 watt RD 3 pump on it until the controller got fubared. That was 4500 gph

As a reefer previously posted, I need to be aware that those pumps with the twist on heads ( no screws) usually leak. This will be a external application so it must be water tight.
I also love my RD3 pumps. I have a RD3100 watt as my return pump. Been there 5-6 years now. Still so quiet, I need to look to see if water is flowing over my sump baffle to make sure it is running.
I had a RD3 150 watt as a closed loop for about 9 years. But I fubared it ( controller) testing house circuits when I had a new generator transfer switch installed. I forgot to shut that pump off and the circuit got flipped countless times.
I bought a new RD5 200 watt pump, but I am not happy with the low end noise the new ones make. It will be for sale, probably at a big discount. Waiting to hear back from RE.
I still have a vectra on another tank. Been running about 7-8 years.
