I want a sand sifter because it will help with my sand bed and they are fun to watch. Most of them get bigger than I would like though. I would like my fish to get no bigger than 3 inches. I was looking into the hi fin red banded goby and orange spotted goby but I don't know how much they will actually sift the sand. Any information would be appreciated.

Get a Pistol Shrimp and a Goby, they will mix up an area for you, but won't sift the entire sand bed.

Bad if you have coral or plan on having frags!!! They will steal to make a nice comfy home!!! Go with an engineer goby, no pistols!!!!

I've heard horror stories about engineer gobies screwing up rock scapes becasue they burrow like mad. I would guess this could go for any sand sifter. I had a diamond watchman goby and loved it though. But dont plan on having any frags on the sand bed, thats for sure! lol
