Hey everyone! I’m looking for recommendations on the best placement for a stream pump in my tank to get good flow without stressing any inhabitants or blowing sand.

Tank details:
• Tank size: 15-gallon HelloReef AIO
• Tank type: Reef

Flow equipment:
• Pump model: Sicce Voyager Nano – 270 GPH

Inhabitants:
• 2 captive-bred clownfish
• 1 Banggai cardinalfish
• Green torch coral
• Space Invader coral
• 1 Acropora
• Merulina scabricula
• Green Star Polyps (GSP)
• Bubble Tip Anemone
• Clean-up crew (snails, shrimp)

My goal is to achieve balanced flow—enough for the Acro, GSP, Merulina, and overall nutrient movement, but gentle enough for the torch, anemone, and fish. I’d really appreciate any placement tips, photos, or experience with similar-sized tanks.

That powerhead puts out a wide gentle flow, you can place it anywhere but I like where you have it to agitate the water surface. Even consider another on the opposite side , aimed at each other they will create a random flow pattern which is ideal. With only one you get that circular one way flow. My own 15 gallon has 2 of the 535 gph voyagers.
