I’m having a difficult time locating a vendor that carries blue millepora. Several online retailers have the infamous palmers blue mille on their website but it’s out of stock. A decade ago this color variety used to be more common in the hobby but I don’t see it pop up as much these days. Frag Garage out of Canada has some beautiful colonies but he doesn’t ship to the US.

So, if anybody has this or knows of somebody that does, please point me their way. Thanks!

Unique corals also can usually get anything you want. Even if it's not on their site.

Little to rich for my blood, I appreciate the heads up though. Stunning coral. I’d be ok with a not named blue millepora.

Thanks to the other two posters too.

Yes it could be A. Spathulata, that's why I didn't say Blue Flame Millepora :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: Many times corals that have been called Millepora, Spathulata or Prostrata, for that matter, turn out not to be what they have been labeled as. They are all very similar and can actually looks like any of these three species depending on flow in the tank.

From what I know, prostrata is a synonym of millepora. From what I can see, spathulata has thicker branches and more "flared" corallites.

I heard recently on a podcast that they’ve all been reclassified as one species based on their genome: A. Millepora. The differences we see are a response to different habitats.

This is also what I have heard.

Hello there,
Yes, we have both of those corals available in our “SPS-cut to order” section.
Probably the best price around for either of those pieces as well…
