I got this as a freebie from my lfs I asked some questions about it but they didn’t know much about it was listed as a leather coral. I can’t find much on it since I don’t know exactly what it is. Only thing I started to notice is it opens at night and stays closed during the day.

I had a black sun coral that looked a little like those and opened mostly at night. Is it truly a leather coral?

It don’t Really know. I mainly go for soft corals just to show the movement in the tank. This little guy is stiff when I get up in the morning both are open and are standing straight up within 30mins of the lights on this is what they look like I moved them under a rock arch so they are in the shaded spot.
