Bare bottom tank. Sump below tank.

I didn’t paint the bottom prior, and currently has water and fish in tank.

Was thinking possibly double sided tape and some poster board or some kind of hobby foam board but concerned about condensation. On the material and growing mold. Has anyone else lacked the foresight of light spillage into the sump? What did you do? If you left it alone any algal growth on your media in the sump?

Any rock in tank? You can get Starboard which I think is just white or black acrylic or sheets of pvc in white in different thicknesses. Rocks should hold them down.
