Looking to add some extra/different lighting to my current set up. I was looking at the ATI ballast and ATI bulbs from BRS. I understand that the ballast has to be the same wattage as the bulbs I want.

I have a 6ft tank currently covered with LEDs

Looking to add two t5's to each side to complete the set up. Am I going the right route getting ATI ballasts and bulbs. And what wattage would you guys recommend for a 6' tank? Is there anything else I need as far as supply's? Obviously end caps for the bulbs to go in....

I really think you will like the T5s with LEDs. I'm doing the same with my tank, LEDs and T5s. I would go with 2 sets of 36" T5 HOs. One set on each side. I don't believe you can go wrong with ATI. They're the only bulbs I run on my tank.

I custom built a metal halide, T5 and LED fixture for one of my tanks.
I used that for the T5 part of my fixture. It was easy to assemble and works great. You will need a timer or controller for it. I use ATI bulbs in it. It's an option for you to consider.

36"ers??? I was thinking at least two 4ft 54w 4 bulbs total. 36" would cover half of my tank.

Sounds good. Now for size. Will the 4ft fixtures work? Or should I just get the 5ft ones.
