been looking at the vortech's and im having a hard time deciding on 2 mp40w es or one mp60w es. my tank is a 125 6ft tank. i do plan on up grading to a 240 6ft with in the next couple of years but i dont mind having more power heads for random flow. whats everyone using on their 120 (+) tanks?

I think the mp60 might be too powerful for a 6' tank and I have only run mp40's on a 6' tank and with 2 on opposite ends would be better IMO than 1 mp60 especially if up-sizing to a 240 later.

what are you going to be holding in your 125? also how wide?

Fish and coral.... Just kidding. I have currently assortment Lps and Sps... And I have about 120lbs of live rock. Maybe more, I can't remember.

I'm currently running a magnum 8 and evolution 15. And I think the flow has depleted a lot. I would just like a lot better flow since I've been sticking lots of coral in this tank.

2 MP40 would be my choice since you will upgrade and If your upgrade Is 24" deep. If you will stick to 18" deep I will go tunze or Jebao WP40

Jebao rw20 would prolly do good i m running 2 rw15 on my 90 one set at 3 led the other at 2 and it almost throws water out of tank

You would be much happier with 2 mp40's

2 mp40w Es it is. Thanks for the advice and suggestions.

Dude I have the same size tank -well mines a 150 but 6 foot and shallow. I have had a heck of a time with sandstorms. The trouble is you need to ramp the speed right up there to get the mp40 to shoot across the tank - as it is a wide flow pump its too much current on the sand bed. I use a wp40 which shoots a real fast but narrow stream at one end and then an mp40 at the other end. It works well and no sand storm. Or go bare bottom then get what u like

2 MP40s are a great choice. You won't be disappointed, that's for sure. Way higher quality than Jaebo.

If you can afford great but at like 400-600 not worth it 2 rw 15 for around 150 and they move water
