Looking to upgrade my skimmer.

Title says it. Im looking to upgrade my skimmer for my new build. Its a 180g, Im looking for a good reliable skimmer that can handle a good bio load. Im currently running a Reef octopus Classic 150INT 6" . obviously its way too small for the new tank.

Im was looking at another reef octopus (Regal 8" 200INT) or a skimz. just looking for some helpful information.

I had a hard time getting skimmer recommendations, but I'm looking for one as well. With the market flooded with so many brands, it's hard to figure out which are going to be a good value and not breakdown on you.

I've researched the Skimz skimmers, they do an amazing job and have a small footprint but I found a lot of instances where the pump failed.

I haven't had a problem with my current reef octopus but I was wondering if anyone had experience with either of these pumps

Look at lifereef or MTC. American made & tons of pump choices.
