Lost a fish today

I think we have all lost a fish during our time in the hobby, and I am no stranger to it.
I've lost more than my fair share of fish, from disease, shipping, or not having a cover over the tank.

I just lost a fish that makes me pretty sad.
28 years ago I bought a pair of Gold Stripe Maroon Clowns.
They were small and almost identical to each other. Perfect GSM clowns.
They were instant buds to each other. Never really had any of that squabbling I see others have.
These 2 clowns have been through hell and back a couple times.
From disease like velvet to extended power outages where I had to shut power off for 4-5 hours at a time, to moving from one tank to another. 3 different display tanks, several holding tanks, and a quarantine tank for 76 days.

The female who I know hated me with every fiber of her body passed away last night.
She was there when I fed the tank about 5:30 and seemed normal. I did notice a tattered fin, but that was normal for her.
I turned the lights on early this morning for a water change and found what was left of her sucked up against a MP40.

She has terrorized me on many occasions. Drawn blood for bites on several occasions, tipped over corals, and I'm even sure she managed to convince one of her anemones to go walk about over the corals she didn't like. She knew I would always catch it and put it back in the regular spot, the middle 1/3 of my 72" long 240 gallon tank that she ruled over.
Even so I am sad today.

28 years is long time, it’s hard losing a fish especially with a bond like that, but I’m sure you gave her a better life than she would’ve had if she wasn’t with you, RIP

They were so cute when they were little. Just all wiggly like little puppy dogs.
Who knew the female would turn into a pitbull.

It was a long run.
I think I got them from a place called Flying Fish Express.
I know I placed a bunch orders from them back then.
I believe they were sold to DR. Fosters and Smith?

I still have the male.
Trying to figure out if trying to find a mate for it, if that's possible?
