My Scott's Fairy Wrasse actually died of head trauma from hitting the glass so hard.

When I had wrasses they would jump and hit themselves off the t5's and the reflectors ouch! You think after doing that a couple times they would learn.
Why would they learn? Moving upwards as a defense route is natural behavior for them. The only thing is, having the surface less than two feet away isn't so natural for them.

I had to do this after losing a new flasher a while back. I knew better too, I like to learn things the hard way though :(

With Wrases is not if its going to happen it is when...

With jawfish they do it at night.

I have no cords going into my tank. I use Vortechs and everything else is in the sump.. Mine is a 75 with a brace so I made 2 screens. They are so easy to make its not funny. There is a few threads on how to make them around and I believe brs has a video. They really look nice.

Thats a bummer, I have netting covering my tank, and have wrasses jump right through the squares and end up dead. I don't keep
flashers anymore, and they are my favorites.....:(
