Im running 2 battery backups bubblers, how long before i start having issues without power? My tank is in my basement the temperature i am not worried about. But the oxygen, and my corals. It says estimated power to comeback is 1:30 PM. Couple of hours from now. Should i be fine?

I had a 70 gallon fish tank that lost power twice. I was a novice at the time and not have any electrical back up . after 12 hours of no filtration/aeration The first of my fish began laying on its side. Fortunately, a friend lent me a generator and within minutes, everybody was OK

Another time when I was out of town I lost power for four days. The person that was watching my house told me that after 24 hours without power all the fish had died so my guess is you’re going to be OK

Get you a gallon pitcher fill it up with tank water and get on a ladder or stool and pour the water back into the tank trying to get the bubbles as low as possible in the tank. Do that 4-5 times each hour. I did this for 6 days and my fish survived. But be ready to change water soon as the power comes back on. Maybe the experts will chime in.

Just depends on your livestock/corals, like others have said it wouldn’t hurt to give it a bit of movement every now and then! You’ll have to keep us updated

Sorry to hear about this! As others have said, aeration is super important right now. Good luck!!
