My last two water changes the ALK was right at, or slightly above 7.00 - checking with a Hannah one water test was 7.04 and second was 7.12.

The high point of my in tank measurement listed in my last post was 4 hours after water change.

Thanks

The water changes you did (20 gallons at 7 dKH on 280 gallons at 5.7 dKH) will be nearly useless. They will boost alk by less than 0.1 dKh per change.

I'd boost the alk by 0.4 dKH per day using baking soda (not the soda ash).
