Low alk how to dose in 3 gallons

Water change, or just dose Brightwell Part A (only affects dkh) it’s a liquid and can be dosed down to the 0.1ml. Very easy/safe way to bring all up. Or again, just do a water change (if nutrients allow)

Since he already has a different alk product, I can't see a reason to buy another.

I’ve used the product he’s using quite a bit. Switching away was the best thing I’ve ever done. To each their own of course.

While I am no fan of Seachem products or advice, one can hardly blame anything bad on proper use of a product for alk that is essentially just a carbonate supplement.

What do you attribute to its use?

To me it’s QOL. Back before I used automated dosing, mixing up powder and using extra water etc is a lot of work compared to taking a 1ml syringe and just tossing x amount in and being done. In his case he’d need next to none so his bottle would last a lifetime too. Reef builders work but it’s 3x the work. But I hear you. It’s not a “bad” product but I’d rather be lazier.

Not sure how what I said isn't clear, but here it is again as a way to easily dose 1/80th of a teaspoon of solids to an aquarium.

Step 1:

Dissolve 1 teaspoon of the solid in 1 liter of RO/DI water.

Step 2:

Add 2.5 teaspoons of the solution from step 1 to the aquarium.
Yeah I understood after reading again sorry

I wouldn't do anything until verifying your testing methods. I'd be willing to bet that your Alk test or your salinity test are incorrect.
My refractometer is calibrated and I changed to a salifert Alk test and I’m reading a 9.9! so thank you
