I'm at the stage where I'm ready to add corals but my Alkalinity seems to be swinging and low for some reason. My nitrates are at 6.5ppm, phosphates at .01ppm, mag at about 450, calcium at about 1350, salinity at 34ppt, pH at about 8 - 8.2, however my Alkalinity is at anywhere from 6 - 7dkh. I tested the Alkalinity of my fresh saltwater mix and it was at 10.8dkh so Im not sure what is deteriorating it. I only have 2 clowns in the tank and some floss, carbon, gfo, and a filter sock, and some matrix in the back. Not sure what could be lowering my dkh.
