I recently lost 2 heads of a new torch I added to tank. I gave it up to a fluke that sometimes they just don’t make it. Now I have 3 heads of a large hammer colony that is losing and has completely lost tissue on one head and the other 2 will be gone by morning. I want to save the other 10 or so heads on this coral and not sure what is causing this.
I recently had 2 gyres go down so I am improvising and put a mp-40 on that side of tank about 2 foot away and flow pattern random at 50%. They are getting more flow than I wld like but didn’t think enough to cause this.
Is there anyway to tell if this is a result of nipping? I have bad experience with a hippo tang eating zoas and even tips of acros. I have a flame and fox face but never seen them nip. Wasn’t sure if there is a sign I can look for. Any suggestions advice greatly appreciated!
