To me one of the most intimidating things to consider is the placement of new corals in a tank, especially when the corals have stinging tentacles. Whenever I look at stocked tanks I have a hard time processing how it all works and how people decided on the correct spot, not just for the specific coral's light and flow needs, but how it functions next to the corals around it! So for example if you have a Torch - you really leave several inches around it empty and nothing can live there? Same with all of these sweeper tentacles corals? Or would you put a Torch next to an Elegance and let them duke it out?
I ordered a bunch of frags from Pieces of the Ocean on their Father's Day "let's make a deal" offer and now I'm terrified of actually placing them into the tank (which currently has no corals.) Like.... I have no idea how to place all this!
