Wow is all i can say about this coral. The Alveopora is one of the most elegant looking LPS on the scene. The colors and movement make it an amazing piece to add to any aquarium or make an amazing centerpiece. Care level: Easy Water Flow: Medium Lighting: Medium.
Id love to see your amazing Alveopora pics and know what makes them thrive in your aquarium, so lets get to posting everyone!

I recently lost mine. Had it for about 4 years. I was told that is a nice age for a captive one. I find them to be a fast grower as long as your tank is stable. I will be picking up a new one this weekend. Would love to find a color like blue or pink. For me i find the easiest difference between goniopora is avelopora has flat tentacle tips. More flower petal like. Goniopora are thin more tentacle like.

I think he was trying to test us.

Easy mistake though.. That alveopora of mine was sold to me from ReefKoi as goniopora. I never looked at it really accept hey that is a nice blue goni, Several months latter I was looking at it and was like hey wait thats not a goni... It has really small polyps and are hard to count too..

Anyway care for Alveopora is in most cases much easier than goniopora.. They seem too like the same conditions though medium current and medium light.
