I know someone out there has the Mystic. Have you checked with Mark Poletti...I believe he's in Sacramento. If not, you could order from Ian of Reef Odyssey as I know he has it for sure.

Sara, does the mystic grape have any blue in the center? Or is it all purple? Just wondering.

Mine have only had purple centers, but sometimes the feeders can appear to have a blue tint to them. I guess it could depend on lighting as well since I only run MH's. See this pic from Ian's site: Reef Odyssey

I also forgot you were up there as well Ian and might have a frag ;)

Isn't coraldiva selling one right now? Shiiping to SF from here would be pretty cheap.

Part of why I was asking about color. Hers looks blue in the center. I didn't think the mystic grape was blue in the center, but I did not know.

I have that piece I'm selling blasted 10 inches under T5 lighting. This piece does better in lower light, but I have nowhere else to put it.

Here's what it looks like under 250w metal halides, still high in the light, but different lighting

I think it's just the photo as that piece looks legit to me! ;) Mine also do best getting blasted under 250W Radiums.

Cool, so it does turn blue under higher light?

No, it's been more purple in my experience. I just think that's the picture or more of a blue tinted light being used is all. Guess you need to try it in your tank just to be sure Ian ;)
