It seems like there’s no benefit to using power balancing, unless you actually need more brightness. And these lights are plenty bright enough without it, for most people I think!

Under illumination channels on the app…if you click on a channel, say channel 8(ultraviolet). If you scroll down to the very bottom section it is listed as “Light source” and has 2 settings. Does anyone know what that is used for ??

This is used for power and spectrum calculations in the multichannel setup.

With Mitras LX, you don't need to do a thing.
On ProfiLux, as ProfiLux can't know what's connected to each illumination channel, you need to fill in these values so that the spectrum displayed for each point in the multichannel setup reflects reality.
But this is purely visual. It has no impact on the lighting itself.
