We got a beautiful red and blue lyretail wrasse yesterday, and haven't seen him since, I know naturally he's freaked out bring in a new tank with new fish ( just have a clownfish and a diamond watchman goby, along with a cleaner shrimp and some hermits.), and we finally found him this morning crouched in the corner of the tank, almost like, on his side. We touched him and he kinda came to life and scooted backward. Does a wrasse sit in places for a while motionless like a goby?

Yes sometimes. It's best to leave new additions alone, particularly wrasse.

There's nothing good that can happen from stressing them out further, it will either be fine or it won't. There's nothing you can do, other than not further stress the fish.

:). I hope it pulls thru!
