I have never been to one, Luciano- is the Trade Show like a huge vendor type thing with stuff to sell?

I've never been to one either, I heard they have a bunch of speakers, a huge trade show with tons of vendors and traders, and they also have a banquet.

i really dont understand what the big deal about them is.

other than for the LFS, suppliers, whole salers to make connections.

alot of business deals going down.

A lot of the vendors sell things at a discount, especially on the last day. I've never been to one either but I know that Marc Levenson has pics on his website for one of the previous conferences.

Also, there are a lot of speakers who go, from Laurie's secret crush to other big wigs. I guess you could consider it a local club meeting on steroids. I should have gone to the one in DC, but I was pretty clueless about it.

You can usually pick up just about any coral you want from these big meets. It's like a frag swap/sell on steriods. Everyone I know who have gone to any of them come home with some nice pieces. I don't know how easy that is these days with the liquid ban on airplanes, unless you can stuff one in a medicine bottle and say it is essential for your good health .

Kris is in charge of a little airport for the TSA, and he says you can check it under the plane, just not as a carry on.
