This started to grow from my zoas/paly colony, is it good or bad?

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't some invasive macro that I needed to pull it. I am going to let it grow in my little 10 gallon system! Thanks for the feedback. No idea. Its not GHA or caulepra. But it looks very very cool. Could be caulepra or its cousin
Thanks, I am letting it grow out.Looks like it could be caulerpa prolifera
It got next to my main rocks and anchored itslef and started to spread, I had to manually remove it and that was tough. I figure this is not a macro algae I want growing in my display tank?Looks more like Caulerpa brachypus to me.
Some love it for the looks and nutrient uptake (could add it to a refugium). Others hate it for its invasive nature. Maybe you could try to limit it to the sandbed and make a "lawn" (I've never tried/succeeded with this algae so I cannot say for sure how easy this is).It got next to my main rocks and anchored itslef and started to spread, I had to manually remove it and that was tough. It is attached to a small island of palys/zoas, that I didn't want on my live rock due to spreading. As the macro was going up, looked nice the current pushed it up next to my live rock and it took hold and started growing. I have small cheato balls in my AIO media basket so I didn't want to grow it there. I will watch it on the small rock that it is on and hopefully it grows straight up like California Kelp Beds. Some love it for the looks and nutrient uptake (could add it to a refugium).
