Macro video of Red Bugs in action

Here's an up-close macro video showing the red bug infestation on one of my acropora frags. They are pretty active little buggers.

That is a great video, definitely the best I’ve seen of them.

Are there some white/gray bugs too? I had those in the past and interceptor knocked the white/gray bugs right off with no problem.

I do see a few white/gray bugs, but they are much smaller and really difficult to see even with the macro lens. I wonder if they are just juvenile red bugs? I haven't been able to find much documentation on their lifecycle.

Yeah mine were insanely hard to see too. I had to have a magnify glass like 2 inches from the corals to actually see them running around but they definitely did hurt my corals exactly like red bugs and I didn’t have any red bugs so I think there is something else out there like them too, that can also be killed just as easy.

FYI, this video was shot using a Nikon D610 camera and 200mm macro lens, about 12" from the coral. Without the macro lens, the bugs can barely be seen with the naked eye.
