Recently my pair of Madagascar hissing cockroaches has had a brood of babies. These roaches are large (grow to 3"), non-invasive, and easy to keep. I have ~30 young roaches at about 1/2" long at the moment. If anyone wants any they are 3 for $5 plus $8.95 s/h for USPS Priority Mail. The pair I have came this way, but I have no experience shipping roaches so I cannot guarantee live arrival, but every effort will be taken to ensure their safe arrival. Any I don't sell I plan on giving to my turtle as I don't want to start a huge operation. Below is a pic of some of the babies in their rearing container. PM me if you're interested. I can also answer any questions about care. They are quite simple to take care of.

Here's a pic of mommy and daddy. They're not nearly so bad as the ones that infest homes here. These won't take over the house, and they're very gentle.

I had some a few years ago. They are cool bugs but I don’t think the girlfriend would go for it. I’ll ask her just to make sure. I started with five and had well over a hundred in a few months. Those things breed like cockroaches :)

I still have around 20 of these little guys left. I have a care sheet I put together for anyone who's interested. They make great classroom pets for younger children to get them interested in biology, and because they're non-invasive and very docile they can be handled by the children as well. My fiancee had some of these in one of her classrooms when she was in school.

Don't put these near your ear...it didn't end well for Checkov.

Poor Chekov, nothing good ever happened to him in the movies. Bugs in the ear, a hematoma from falling while running away from the Navy....
