Chelated adds ions and may be best pure

That looks like a reasonable product to me. :)
Thanks. How much should i be adding to 200 gallons? So far im just shaving some dust off a pill daily lol. Probably equates to 1mg of this. Ive noticed increased photosynthesis on my macroalgae since. More bubbles coming off the macroalgae.

How much manganese do you want to add each day?

Manganese varies a lot.
1 ug/L might be a reasonable dose.

that tablet has 25 mg, so one tablet is enough to dose 25,000 L to 1 ug/L

id dissolve it in 100 mL of fresh water, leave the undissolved solids behind, and dose something like 3 mL to the tank.

Okay thanks. I wonder though, would it last in 100ml fresh water for a month if im dosing 3ml a day? Oxidation concerns?

So is that like dosing 3% of the dry pill daily? Which would be roughly .75 grams of that pill daily if i didnt want to mix in water right?

Are you testing to verify the results of your dosing?
Im not. But manganese is easily removed via photosynthesis like iron. Many peoples icps come back with 0 ppm. However your right, i should test.

3% yes, but that isn’t 0.75 g.

I am not certain how stable it is to air oxidation, or if that is a concern even if it did happen.

Sorry i meant .75mg no? Is that nearly the same as 3ml oer day?

Here's a discussion with respect to drinking water. Note especially the last sentence.

Manganese (Mn) is a transition metal which can exist in a range of oxidation states, +2, +3, +4, +6 and +7. The divalent form, Mn(II), predominates in most waters at pH 4-7. If the pH and redox potential of the water are increased (by the addition of lime and chlorine) then Mn(II) may be oxidised to Mn(IV). The complex series of oxidation and adsorption reactions which occur in aerobic water, means that manganese dioxide (MnO2) is eventually formed. At times MnO2 may be present as a colloid, which essentially behaves as a solution in terms of transport. MnO2 is essentially a biologically unavailable, insoluble form of manganese.

You wrote this in another thread, so thats why I had asked about oxidation being a concern.
