Magnetic coral shelves

Anyone make their own side of glass shelves for coral? Just wanted to know if these looked okay. I used ceramic magnets (that are said to be safe for reef tanks) and emarco 400 reef safe concrete. Gonna place them in random spots initially, once I get corals for them, I'll readjust their locations.

The idea is reasonable enough - but are those magnets coated?

There is no magnetic material I know of that is reef safe, it's the encapsulation of the magnet that keeps the water from corroding it and lets it remain in the tank (at least until the coating is damaged).

Ive messed with many magnets that claim to be water safe. The only ones that actually meet that spec (in my experience) are the thick rubber coated ones from K&J. That said I might still use regular magnets by heavily coating them in epoxy or silicone.

It says in the product description: Demagnetization resistance, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance....
And the magnets are said to be made with neodymium rare earth and water safe.

I may have some silicone available. Only thing that sucks is they're cemented onto each piece, so I'd have to break them off.

They look like magnets to me.
Even when coated, just a hairline crack will leech.

Not a lot of comments, but it'll probably be best to go another route. I may just cement suction cups on them instead.
