Magnetic optical sensor came with package --though, no FMM. Is this needed?

Is the FMM needed to run the magnetic optical sensor (MOS)? I intend to use it to turn off my skimmer when cup is full.

No. The new Apex A3 comes with 4 optical ports - so you can use any sensors (including the optical and liquid level sensor) by plugging them directly into the Apex. In Fusion, you'll have an additional "FMM" module - which is actually the 4 optical port portion on the Apex (this is where you'll configure these). Hope that helps explain it a little bit?
