I was all set to order a Pink Streaked Wrasse to go with my McCoskers Flasher.
Go to the LFS and he has two McCoskers in stock.
One is a male that looks like mine - where the fins are rarely ever displayed.
The other is a female that is always displaying her fins - beautiful fish.
Not sure if the LFS has it right in identifying male / female.

Two questions:
1. Does the female display her fins most of the time?
2. Can I add the female to my tank if the other one I have is a male?
Thanks

I know this is old, but what is the difference between the male and females? Looking to get one, and want to make sure that it's the flashier/more colorful of the two (assume this would be a male)

Females have almost no color other than the orange. No stripes have developed along the body. No dorsal spines. Just that orange with the belly more white.

Keep in mind that females will eventually turn male.
