My mandarin Dragonet, Spike, has quite a appetite. I've been giving him a 6oz bottle of tigger-pods every month, but lately it's not enough. Can anyone tell me where to find a discount source of bulk pods?

Hikari Frozen Bloodworms, and Reef Nutrition's R.O.E are a sure bet to start him on frozen. After that you can start trying others like pellets, mysis..etc. If you have access to live blackworms, whiteworms, i'm almost positive he will take those.

Reefs2GO and ReefCleaners are majority Amphipods, which Mandarins seldom eat as the pod is nocturnal. The best place I've found that sells Copepods is Livecopepods.com I've dealt with them often. They specialize in Tisbea and Tigger pods, the best for your Mandarin!

On another note: Speaking from experience, NEVER feed your Mandarin bloodworms! They'll eat em but they'll also die of malnutrition doing so.

I discovered that liveaquaria.com currently has tisbe pods in a double-size bottle (12oz vs my usual 6oz) for the same price as what I usually get. I'll try theirs this time and if I'm not satisfied I'll check out your recommendations. Thanks! I do intend to train him to frozens but it's going to have to wait until my piggy clowns get moved to my planned larger tank.
