Hello, I ordered some mangrove roots in the mail and unfortunately it appears about 5 of the roots have snapped off only leaving 3 left. I was curious if this means my mangrove is a goner since they use the roots to pump out salt?

Please double check the info but from what I gathered, you'd want to keep the mangrove with damaged roots in freshwater for a few weeks until the roots heal (no need to acclimate to freshwater, can go straight in); then spend 2-3 weeks slowly increasing the salinity back to full saltwater strength. Good luck with the plants!
