I plan on adding a manifold off a separate pump from my main. I will have three valves (gfo, gac and a spare) I assume I would empty the gfo and gac into the skimmer section of my sump. Is this good or bad?

Next question is since I am running the manifold off a separate pump I don't want to dead end the manifold so I was thinking I let it drain into my refugium section of my sump for a little extra flow.

Is any of this completely wrong???

Thanks Dan

All of it seems reasonable, you can return to whatever section you want, as long as it is the same section or upstream of your pump.
Generally speaking you want both to be below any mechanical filtration you already have in place. Most return to the skimmer section since that is usually where the heaters are, and it is designed to be a stable water level.
