Hey there… Redoing a bit of my plumbing and starting with my reactors and manifold. Here's a pic of the new manifold to be. All half-inch parts afyer the downsizing on the left, obviously I will add pipe and glue them together, this is just the layout. Let me know what you think, comments and criticisms of the positive nature are appreciated.

I shall be critical. This looks more like a stub off then a manifold. What I've seen with a manifold is a group of valves with the remain water passing by and returning to the DT. I also don't understand why you have a valve before the two "manifold" valves. Don't know why you would need that.

Thanks for the feedback, I was contemplating running it as you speak, with the excess of the water flowing back into the display tank, but changed my plan to a stub off, as I'm now informed.
And I suppose the valve before that is not necessary, but instead of just gluing it in I would probably use a union anyway… And I have a true union ball valve handy. But you are correct I probably could just skip it.
Thanks again for the feedback I may do a little redesign
Also, thanks for the clarification. I've been wondering what actually defined a manifold…

You can add one more vale incase if you need to use that for anythnig else in near future. I am not sure why you have grey valve before your manifold? But other than that it looks good. just be sure to measure the distance between them...

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
