Maricultured Acro Colorup

I picked up a couple of maricultured colonies this weekend. Boy do they look bad under full spectrum, LOL! Will try post monthly pictures to see how they color up. I run 250w 10k halides with a sprinkling of LED for some flavor. Buckle up!

Probably need to move it up the tank closer to higher par to force the coloration out? And do that slowly too..

A shop near me started selling mariculture colonies at pretty amazing prices, but after talking to an employee he said they’ve seen black bugs come in on almost every shipment.. seems like too big a gamble for me.

These were at a local shop for about 6-months (apparently) nobody wanted them so I traded with the owner for them. Just wanted see what they would do under full spectrum
