Marine betta

I have had my beta in a 120g for 6 or 7 years with 3 tangs and a copper banded and he does just fine. Nobody seems to bother him.

that’s good. The captive ones are like an inch though. I think I may need to grow it out a bit in a different tank.

That's how mine started its only about 3 inch now. With some full grown tangs, some of damsels less evil cousins, high flow, no prob. Would be a good idea to get it started on food b4 main tank though. This guy refused for a few days. Then quarantine period. Then dropped in display at small size.

They grow painfully slow. The only concern for the wild betta, is eating. They are cryptic and will not mix it up in a feeding frenzy. They will hang by the rocks and will do just fine catching what swirls around by the the rocks and caves they dwell, and behind the rocks. The wild caught bettas sometimes are very hard to get eating initially, sometimes requiring live food to get started. Once eating they will find a way and scavenge the feedings you provide by broadcast. You can also spoil them by target feeding.

On sale maybe 120$. Also yes that is exactly how I got them to feed. Brine, and other copepods. Then at some point it got eating mysis, and SA pellets. Now eats anything that comes in reach.

Yea I like him/her. Wanted one for a long time. Back before they were 49$. They kept going up, and up in price. I figured now or never. Would be my luck they go back down.
