Maroon Clown ATE Anemone Tentacle!

I can now say I've seen it all. My BTA, which has split several times in the past 2 years and doesn't look very bubbly ever, had one of the clones take a walk into the power head located just above them, which I've never had happen before. One of the tentacles got pulled in I'm guessing and was severed. The female maroon pictured here ate it! I thought for sure she would spit it out but nope. I added carbon to my GFO reactor and ran it nonstop for 24 hours which cleared up the water very quickly. Luckily I caught it just as it most likely happened. Everybody who survived seems fine at this point.

My fish are too well fed to eat their anemone's severed tentacles. Phosphates are very high in the tank because I feed frozen cubes. I just noticed my tusk trying to eat a piece of the foil wrapper that I accidentally added this morning. Why would they try to eat foil but ignore a delicate tentacle?

I've caught my male Wyoming white ripping tentacles of his rbta. Nem doesn't seem to care.
