I definitely have to get longer arms for the light mount. They need about 3” to be centered over the display.

It’s looking great. Nice job on the cabinet. Can’t wait to see that light mount solution! Still need to hang mine! But might be over a RSR250..

Thanks! That would be a nice choice of tank. I have nothing negative to say about the reefer 250 I had. I honestly didn’t realize how much larger this SR60 was going to be than the 30L I am VERY happy with it. I picked up two more pieces of rock in case I needed them and I do think I will. It looks really open right now.

So here is the final set up, minus some cord management. I kept the mounts in the same spot on the wall but this new contraption raised the lights to 14.5” over the water, in range of the BRS recommended mounting height. Also, this setup pushed them out to 16” from the wall AKA the center of the display so.... thats cool. Any way, I rented the par meter from my LFS to set up the light intensity, dropped the remote to the lights, and now the screen doesn't work.... Awesome. So as the light cycles through the day tomorrow I will measure it to see where it is and hope Reefbreeders responds to my email quickly.

Here is a video of the scape to hopefully better show the dimensions and swim throughs.

Big props to Reef Breeders for responding to my email on a Sunday evening! They sent an envoice for a replacement remote but suggested I try charging mine first. I let it charge over night and with no change. Invoice paid and hopefully a replacement will be here soon.

Man I forgot how loud IM SpinStreams are when they are new. These things chatter terribly until they break in. They do eventually become silent though.

The IM Ghost fullsize skimmer seams to work quite well for me. I may be putting the CadLights PLS 50 Elite V2 on the market soon.

The 30L sold yesterday and is off to its new life as a very nice little QT tank for a 300 gallon system.

I forgot to mention in the last post that I am “dosing“ Aquavitro Seed. The first week is just a little every day and then I will switch to a little after each water change. I also will continue the use of a mix of Aquavitro Fuel and RedSea Reef Energy AB+ when I feed.

My light settings ramp to a max of the following:
Green 15, Red 15, Royal Blue 65, White 15, Light Blue 65, Violet 65

This tops out the par at 275-ish on most of the top rock area. The ramp up and down keeps 100+ par on the acros the entire day and it looks good. I will see how this goes for a bit and up it if I need to. Trying to get lighting right for a mixed reef is hard to do in these shallow tanks but everything did fine in the 30l with similar par numbers. SPS didn‘t grow super fast but the color was there so i‘m ok with that.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
