Wanted to provide my feedback on the maxspect truereef filter. The lens was really advertised to bring out true colors.

I got the sunset boulevard option for Christmas and was pretty disappointed. It does remove the blues but I feel like the photo looks so fake/photoshopped and does not really resemble “true colors”. The build quality is excellent and the way it magnets to the iPhone is very good. The lens is large so it doesn’t obscure my lens like my other clip on lens.

This photo is taken with radion blues on AB+ for reference.

Maybe the Gouda cheese is better? Thoughts. Does anyone else have any experience or feedback?

I don't see your photo.

I find it odd that Maxspect claims the big advantage of their filter is that it removes blue light while preserving some near-uv for "pop." But the pop comes from corals absorbing that near-uv and re-emitting it at higher wavelengths, not from us seeing the near-uv directly.

I like the way the design of this filter looks but don’t see any ways to like stack a diopter or anything. You can do a lot with post processing maybe you can make adjustments to something you like a little better and feels less photoshopped
